One of the major aims of KWR is to educate people about the threatened state of our wildlife, and to raise awareness of the devastating threat that  the Cane Toad poses to all of our native fauna.

KWR works closely with the Kimberley Toad Busters Inc. to educate children, locals, travellers and regional business people of the ways in which they can be active in fighting this huge problem.

1. Topics that we are aiming to educate people about include:

2. Identifying native frogs from Cane Toads

3. The life-cycle of the Cane Toad and toxicity off all it's stages

4. The endangered state of our fauna due to habit damage, fires, road deaths and predation from feral cats

5. The Huge number of indirect effects of the cane toad on our environment (e.g. the consumption of huge amounts of insects resulting in starvation of our wildlife)

6. The benefits of toad busting and how people can contribute to toad control in the NT, and monitoring their presence in WA

7. Other ways in which people can contribute to educating others or creating wildlife friendly environments.

8. Caring for our Country and more....

For more information on Cane Toad Identification or sightings you can go to Kimberley Toad-busters or Department of Environment & Conservation.
