SARAH
Dr. Sarah Brett - President

Sarah Brett

Dr. Sarah Brett has been helping East Kimberley native fauna for 15+ years in Kununurra, and also runs and owns the Kimberley Vet Centre, which pays for most of Kimberley Wildlife Rescue's medication, food, supplies and other administrative costs. She has an extensive medical background and also takes on a holistic approach using homeopathic remedies to assist wildlife and domestic animals in the practice.
Sarah is one of those people who is extremely supportive and a determined, passionate woman. She has done a great deal for the local community and has put an enormous amount of time, effort, and heartache to built our organisation up to what was just a dream and is now a reality.
Sarah is an inspiration to all of us and the only veterinarian who services the whole of the East Kimberley area.

DESANKA

Desanka Mijovic - Coordinator

Desanka Mijovic

Desanka works at the Kimberley Vet Centre as the head veterinary nurse, is one of our main wildlife carers and is KWR's Vice President and coordinator. Needless to say she doesn't have a lot of spare time on her hands and she has a family! How does she do it? She rescues and rehabilitates native wildlife and responds to call outs that come through about any wildlife issues. She also does out reach to Halls Creek, Wyndham, Warmun and other locations in the East Kimberley. She is dedicated and loves working with wildlife. We would be lost without the huge contributions she has put into this organisation.
Recently Desanka was nominated as one of the Top 3 Vet Nurse Trainee of the Year at PolyTechnic West. What an outstanding achievement for such a dedicated person to our animals. Congratulations Desanka.

DIANE

Diane Robinson - Treasurer

Di is the lady with the numbers. Unfortunately we don't have an image of her at the moment, but we hope to get one soon. She helps KWR with the financial controls of our organisation and keeps us in line. We would definitely not be able to run without Di helping with the books and she also runs Oria Orchards which exports local mangoes and paw-paws to the Perth Markets and she also has her own Floristry business as well which she ahs successfully been able to grow the beautiful English Rose.

RENEE

Renee Chapman - Honorary Secretary

Renee Chapman

Renee is the honorary secretary of KWR and does all the admin duties through her own business The Admin Chick. She has helped us out by creating our very own website and Facebook Page as well as creating and helping us with our publications, newsletters, meeting minutes, forms, etc and has successfully helped us with a couple of our grants submissions. She also maintains the membership and wildlife admissions databases for us.
