The Kimberley Vet Centre is located on the corner Leichardt Street and Riverfig Road in Kununurra and is the only vet in the East Kimberley area. The KVC (for short) is how Kimberley Wildlife Rescue came about and it is one of the main sources of funding for emergency and surgical procedures on our native wildlife patients, as well as assists with the cost of medication during wildlife rehabilitation.
Dr. Sarah Brett is the Owner and head Veterinarian of the Kimberley Vet Centre and has an impressive record for dealing with wildlife, as well as domestic and companion animals.
The KVC services the local Kununurra township as well as visits to Halls Creek, Warmun, Glen Hill and Wyndham, and sometimes even stretches into the Northern Territory, despite the state border. It seems that animals have no boundaries.
The team at KVC consists of two Veterinarians, two Vet Nurses, one Vet surgeon, three Animal assistants, and various other volunteers and casual employees. The centre is always busy with either domestic or native animal patients and every one of the staff members are passionate about all animals, great or small.
